Donation Process
Types of Blood Donations
Whole Blood Donation
Whole blood (WB) donation is the most common form of blood donation, in which a person donates one unit (450ml) of blood.

Platelets Aphersis
Platelet donation involves the extraction of platelets from your blood to help patients with clotting disorders, cancer, and other medical conditions.
Additional eligibility criteria will be evaluated during the screening process.
Beneficiaries: Patients with leukemia, cancer, and platelet dysfunction
Process Duration: 90 minutes
Frequency: Every 2 weeks, up to 24 times annually
Hours: Mon-Thurs, 7:00 AM - 2:00 PM; Fri, 7:00 AM - 1:00 PM
Additional eligibility criteria will be evaluated during the screening process.
Beneficiaries: Patients with leukemia, cancer, and platelet dysfunction
Process Duration: 90 minutes
Frequency: Every 2 weeks, up to 24 times annually

Red Blood Cells Donation
Double red blood cell donation collects only red blood cells while returning other blood components to the body. This process is particularly beneficial for patients with severe anemia, who are undergoing surgery, or who have experienced trauma.
Additional eligibility criteria will be evaluated during the screening process.
Beneficiaries: surgeries and trauma cases
Process Duration: 70 minutes
Frequency: Every 16 weeks
Hours: Mon-Thurs, 7:00 AM - 2:00 PM; Fri, 7:00 AM - 1:00 PM

Donor Journey
Post Donation Information
Soon after each donation, your body will replace the amount of blood you donate, which is usually 450ml or “one blood unit”. Each unit of blood that you donate can be used to help as many as three to four patients in need.
Your blood will be tested for a number of blood tests and the blood donation center will notify you and give you required consultation when required.
